Every Wednesday this month, we’ll be releasing new data on the serve.
Stat of the Week: 61%
That’s the winning percentage of the server when she hits a 1st serve out wide in the deuce court.
It’s the highest win percentage of any location on the first serves.

1st Serve Ad | 59% | 55% | 60% |
For the men, the highest win percentage is 68% for the T-serve in the deuce court and wide on the ad side.

These are narrow margins, but it’s clear that hitting the corners, either wide or T, are the best options on the first serve.
